My schematic drawing!
My lighting inspiration! So cool, right?
I know, I know, summer isn’t over! I actually LOVE this warm balmy, weather. I really do! However, Labor Day IS over, so we all know October is just around the corner and if you’re anything like me, It’s going to take a little time to start hauling out the decorations for fall. If you’re really like me, then they may be thrown in a heap in the garage and need to be dusted off, sorted, replaced etc.. We’re going to save that part for a very special episode of “The Sister’s”. We all know I like to keep it real (for some insane reason).
For now, I’m in my schematic phase of , what we’ll refer to from this point forward as “Halloween Decorating Mode”! Meaning I like to sketch to get an idea of what it will look like when it’s finished. (I do the same for Christmas by the way). I google images of color schemes I have in mind. I also like to get an idea of what items I absolutely know I don’t have and will have to purchase. This way, when we’re ready to really dig in, I’ll have everything I need to start that needs to be shipped. Did I mention that I’m also obsessed with Amazon?
We’re planning so many fun episodes centered around prepping for the upcoming fall season before October even begins! I really hope you enjoy how passionate we are about our holidays, maybe because we haven’t fully grown up who knows but if that’s the case, I highly recommend it to everyone! We’re hoping to inspire you just a little!
I’m not entirely sure what my sister is up to across the street. Although, she may get a little upset I’m using green because she claimed that last year as her Halloween color (We may have to spy, stay tuned). Although, she’s probably doing the same awesome theme as last year which you will all enjoy so much. It’s AMAZING. I, on the other hand, am starting from scratch so here you go. This is how I begin. When we’re all finished it’ll be fun to see how close I actually got to this initial design. Keep in mind that my house isn’t purple nor my windows green. The colors represent lighting and our theme is vampires vs werewolves (for now ;-)). Have ideas that will help us with our themes or plans for your own home? We would LOVE to hear your ideas so we can all start getting excited together!!
***Stay tuned for an upcoming visit to Spirit of Halloween and Party City, as well as a corn-husking-hack challenge (for the last month of corn-picking season), a trip to my scary garage to take inventory of existing decorations and our actual CONTEST/reveal in which we plan to involve all of you!*** Busy, busy, busy!
Hope you enjoy!
